Hi Vijay Dhore

All the states are participating in the NEET 2017 & will fill their 85% seats of MBBS/BDS colleges through state counselling, while the remaining 15% of the seats will be filled through All India quota counselling . The eligibility for the 85% quota seats of the states are mentioned below:

  • Candidates must have completed/appearing his/her 10th and 12th from the state.
  • Candidate must possess a valid domicile of the state.
  • Candidate should possess a residency proof of the state.

You DOMICILE CERTIFICATE decides your eligibility criteria to avail 85% quota seats of a particular state. It is immaterial to the state board that you are studying in.

Hi VIJAY, As per your query about the eligibility for State quota 85 % seat, i would like to say Yes he/she will be eligible for State quota even if HSC is from outside Maharashtra IF HE HAS DOMICILE OF THE STATE.... Studying in MAHARASHTRA is not the sole criteria

srry but maharashtra is not providing admission to students completing hsc from other state even if you have maharashtra domicile or resident certificate.

Uppalwar Vaibhav I was born in Rajasthan but did class10 from Assam and 12th from Rajasthan....I am not eligible for state quota of any of the above states.....what should I do Sir
