Solution : Given: Quantity of mixture = 55 litres The ratio of fruit juice and water = 4 : 1 Let $x$ litres water be added to make the mixture ratio 2 : 1. Initial quantity of fruit juice = $\frac{55}{5}×4=44$ litres Initial quantity of water = $\frac{55}{5}×1=11$ litres So, according to the question, ⇒ $\frac{44}{11+x}=\frac{2}{1}$ ⇒ $22+2x=44$ ⇒ $2x=22$ ⇒ $x=11$ litre Hence, the correct answer is 11.
