Hey Pramod, I will tell you how it works.. When you got your result you category rank might be mentioned there along with your All India rank.. So now you are eligible for All India 15% quota for all other states, there your category rank would be kept in mind while allotting you any college. Also you are eligible for the rest 85% quota seats of your own state, there also your category rank will be considered.. Hope this helps.. Good luck..

During All India and state counselling category plays a major role in deciding your admission into the desired colleges. According to Government of India guidelines there is reservation of seats for some categories. The admission into the medical seats is done through the merit in respective categories. So this is Highly essential to mention the category details while filling the form for admission. All those candidates who doesn't belong to any reservation category fall under Open category.
