Electronics and Communication:



If you are interested in learning about cutting edge technology.Data transmission from one device to other ,physical signals conversion, recognition of type of data , how satellites and towers work, working of routers ,network set up,and latest technology that works under ,or technology which helps to aid devices which runs under. Electronics is the branch for you.



Scope:  ECE engineer works in data centres and can set up optimised networks

He/ she can also be approached by StartUps companies and make products for them.



Salary depends on how capable the individual is and in which company he/she is working.



Salary :  4 lakhs p.a - 20 lakhs per annum.



Electrical and Electronics Engineering



Electrical engineering deals with electricity, electro-magnetism and electronics. These engineers are work with large-scale electrical systems such as motor control and power transmission, as well as utilizing electricity to transmit energy, they design lighting and wiring of buildings, telecommunication systems, electrical power stations and satellite communications.



Scope :



They can work in Government PSUs.

Electrical Engineers deal with power generation and transmission systems.

EEE engineers design circuits for electrically operated vehicles, computers, digital devices, electronic memory storage devices, industrial robots and various machines.

EEE Engineers setup & operate the telecommunication, wireless and internet networks.





salary : 5 lakhs to 25 lakhs.

it completely depends on your interest and the passion towards that field . you have equally plenty of private and government jobs in for the fields .

all you have to do is , find you interest and knowledge level in either of the courses and choose one and perfectionize it . the job opurtunities will automatically come to you .

Hello Karnam,

Both the branches are good in their own perspective if done from a reputed college.

Generally, if done from mediocre college then EC students have more chances of placement than EEE.

There is nothing bad in EEE but the it is little difficult as compared to EC.

I would suggest you to go with your interest.

In EEE the competition is not very tough and the availability of jobs too are good.In ECE, the scope to land into government jobs is great. An electronics engineer can find a job in Central Government, State Governments and their sponsored corporations, private industries dealing in manufacture, sales and services of electronics consumer goods and appliances. Additionally, electronics engineers are also absorbed into the broadcast industry, research establishments, and defence.



Though in India core electronics companies are rare but the market is still flooded with job opportunities both in core and software sectors.
