Hi Aspirant

It is is possible to change the branch of engineering course within the same University

And Yes, every university and college provide the option of “branch change”, for the students after passing first year, so that if any doubt still prevails in the mind of a student after taking admission in first year, he/she can then change his/her respective branch in second year.

Actually in many colleges the syllabus for first year is same for all branches and later it differs from second year onwards.

The procedure for the branch change differs from college to college but basically the procedure is that a minimum cut off is taken out for each branch and if adequate seats are available in that particular branch after applying for the branch change, then depending upon the number of applicants for the branch change , a final list will be taken out for each branch.

Hope this information helps you!

Hello aspirant

In every college there is branch sliding process available after first year if there is vacant seat left in respective branch.

For this you have to get high cgpa i.e above 8 in your 1st year and you need to get a rank which matches with cut off of your interst branch.

Hope this helps. All the best.

Hello

Almost every college you allows branch change after 1st year of your engineering.  But itvis depends on various factor like seat vacancy ,your cgpa and many more .

but in Andhra university it is not possible because they don't allow student to do that. So you have go with the branch you have

Good Luck

Hello Student,

Yes you can!!!
But there are some specific criteria for that.
You should have passed your previous subjects with very good marks And there is a need of vacancy in the branch where you want to get admission.
But sometimes it depends on the institution you are studying in.

So I think it is necessary to confirm by asking in the institution.

Hope this helps

Good luck
