Hello Diyansh,
In total CA course has three level of exams namely CPT, IPCC and Final.
CPT is like a entrance exam which has 4 paper -> Accounts, Economics, Business law, Maths.
Once you clear CPT, next stage will be IPCC which has 7 papers divided into 2 groups : Group 1 -> Accounts, Law, Costing and financial management and Auditing. Group 2 -> Advanced Accounting, Information Technology and strategic management, Tax laws ( both direct and indirect tax)
The last stage Final has 8 papers divided into 2 groups with 4 each. Group 1: Accounting, law, Auditing and strategic financial management. Group 2: Direct tax, indirect tax, Information system and control audit, advance management accounting (aka costing)
So in total you will have 19 papers. But for people with some bachelor degree the entrance exam or CPT is not required, so for those people it would be 15 papers.
Thanku.
