In careers 360 comedk college predictor, they are shownig me 29k cutoff for ISE in NMIT Bangalore, but actual is 8k. What does it mean? Pls

The predictor works on inputs given by the software developer. To predict cut-off, rank, college etc. of any exam which are available now-a-days in many platform use the previous year data to predict the parameter you want. The cut-off depend on many factors like seats available, difficulty level of examination. The software do not know whether the question is difficult or not, whether there is increment in any seat or not. What they can do is predict all parameters based on statistical analysis for which they find pattern from previous year trends. The cut-offs vary every year. And also the platform states that prediction is based on previous year data, and sometimes give magnitude in a range rather than an accurate number.
