Nilesh my friend if you really want to become a nuclear scientist then you didn't require this exam, any exam like jee or board's exam can never judge a profession only it's interesting can, if you want to become a nuclear scientist you need to do engineering chemistry or applied physics with a concentration in nuclear science if you got a low score then probably you get a small college admission, you don't worry or you may not get admission in some chances in the case also you don't worry, you need to put hope on you and you have a chance

Department of atomic energy conduct exam called OCES The selection process is in two stages. First is through written exam. After clearing the written exam cut-off, you will be called for the interview. On selection, you have to join the BARC training school where you will be trained for the subjects relevant to nuclear engineering/science. Generally, the training school period is one year. On successful completion of training school (where you have to score more than 50%) you will be given choice to work at one of the DAE research institute based on your performance at the training school and available vacancies at the Department. Finally, your dream will come true

Hello Nilesh
If you want to seriously become a nuclear scientist then you need to repeat an year and improve your scores in both the board and the JEE. You need to get into a good college and then again study hard to get a good rank in BARC or the ISRO and then again pass the semesters there then for sure you will achieve your goal.
Hope this helps.
All the best.

Hi Nilesh,
Opt for science with physics and maths in Class 12. To get into Delhi Universitys MTech programme in nuclear science and technology, you should have a bachelors degree with physics for at least two years/ four semesters and maths for at least a year/ two semesters. Plus, you need to clear the Joint Admission test for MSc (JAM).

Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) holds an all-India entrance test for an orientation course for engineering graduates and science postgraduates (OCES) as well as a two-year DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for engineering graduates and physics post-graduates (DGFS).
