Abhinay actually all 3 of the branches are good and it more depends on from which college you are pursuing your M.Tech degree. If you ask me in terms of M.Tech in the civil department then I will keep water resource engineering above the other two environmental and transportation engineering branches because water resource engineering will need the skills of a civil engineer while the other two are more inclined to chemical and mechanical engineer respectively.

sir can i get iit dhbad belong to sc in 345 score in gate...like enviromental eng.aur in iit ghuwati like water resource transporation.. etc which round can i get plz mention that...sir..plz.reply my question.

hello sir ism cut off is 1st round is 512 in env eng sc 2018..it is possible to get this in 345 score belong to sc .env eng..plz.say which round can i get this.or not..

Predicting cut-off is very difficult as it varies every year with the number of students who have cleared this exam in your category and are interested in env. branch. Still, you can wait for a few more rounds for the improvement. Generally, there is a huge fall back in cut-off in the 2nd round. After that changes are not to a great extent. So, wait for a few more rounds.

NIT Patna is a little lower ranked NIT but still not bad. If you can get upgraded college then keep checking it.

NIT Patna is a little lower ranked NIT but still not bad. If you can get upgraded college then keep checking it. ISM Dhanbad is better.

Abhinay the branches you have mentioned in the comment are the best branches for doing M.Tech for a civil engineer. Structure, construction and planning, Geotech all of them are much better for a civil engineer than the water resource, environmental branches.

Water resource is good branch but if you are thinking for govt. Jobs so structural engineering, construction and planning, Geotech all of them will be more beneficial.
