Based on your overall academic profile and category, you will need to score atleast 86 percentile in CAT to get a call for the next round.

All the best!

See according to your mock percentile you will.get calls from all New IIMs and also from old IIMs like IIM L and K. You will not be able to get call from top 3 IIMs and IIM I because for top 3 IIMs you atleast need above 92+ percentile and IIM I is one of the rare IIM where weightage of 10th 12th and graduation percentage is way high even more than CAT marks.

And academic records is one of your weakness which can hinder your conversion of calls from IIMs as every IIM after CAT exam makes a merit list to call students for next round of interview and WSAT which is based on the aggregate score which comprises of many factors such as CAT marks, 10th 12th and graduation percentage, work experience, engineer or non engineer, gender with different weightages for different colleges.

In this aggregate score generally academic records have a weightage of 10-25%. So to overcome this loss due to academic records you need to score a little higher percentile atleast 90+ and prepare very well for your interview session.

In case of FMS again you will definitely get a call. One good thing about FMS is it does not give at all weightage to your academic records and 85% weightage is given to CAT marks, 5% to extempore and 10% to personal interview. As you can see CAT marks weightage is so high so with 87 percentile you will need to score 14/15 marks to get selected which is not at all easy. Again to make FMS conversion easy aim for 90+ percentile.

All the best for your last days preparations and exams!!

As far as SC category is concerned, you are scoring good percentile for top MBA institutes. The problem is that many of the IIMs have minimum criteria for marks in 10th and 12th standard without which you won't be eligible to get interview call

For example,

In IIMA, for SC category the cutoff of 12th marks for the 2018 batch in Arts & Humanities is 64%

Secondly, the academic scores are factored in to the selection process so you would need to score even higher percentile to compensate for the lower scores in academics

For example,

For interview call to IIM Calcutta, class X marks have 10 points (20%) and class XII marks also have 10 points (20%) weightage but CAT score has 28 points (54%) weightage

Institutes like FMS focus more on CAT than some other IIMs

So do well in CAT and you can get into a top B-School!

Good luck!

If you are scoring 98+, there is a chance for new IIMs
