In COMEDK, will there be any rank difference on same marks due to different shifts?
Hello Aspirant,
Karnataka professional colleges foundation formed COMEDK i.e., Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka to conduct an common entrance test with an objective to determine the merit of students.
In case of two or more candidates having the same marks in COMEDK UGET 2021, the authorities will prepare an inter se merit to determine the ranks of such candidates. The tie-breaking rule is given below-
-
If it is a tie, with thenumber of least negative responses (number of wrong answers) in
1) Physics,
2) Mathematics and
3) Chemistry will be used to provide the rank to the candidates.
If a tie still persists, aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics will be considered.
If a tie still persists, marks in Mathematics will be considered.
If a tie still persists, age of the Candidate will be considered wherein the elder candidate will be ranked higher than the younger candidate.
As per the rules provided above shifts doesn't effect the tie breakers. Hence your rank doesn't change with that factor.
