IN counselling what do they prefer,general rank or community rank??

Hi Aspirant
While counseling most of the colleges have different seats for different Categories .
Each Category be it general, SC , SC or any other sort of category has a specific number of seats in a particular institution.
So candidates from a particular category fill up the seats of that particular category.
No particular preference is given to any particular category.
