In diploma what is the difference between computer science trade and IT
Diploma in Computer Science(CS) and IT (Information Technology) are quite similar but there is a slight difference.
Both diploma in Computer Science and diploma in IT is generally of 3 years. Infact, most probably 80% of syllabus of both is same.
Diploma in Computer Science basically includes study of programming languages and with the design of computers. It covers the core subjects like networking, database.
Diploma in Information Technology includes the study of latest technologies majorly but it also covers programming languages. It covers the surface level subjects.
Let me explain this with an example, if a doctor deals with heart directly that is core level and if doctor treats minor infections like fever, cold etc. is surface level.
Placement - Companies consider both Computer science graduates and IT graduates at the same level. But, sometimes 1 out of 10 companies have some sort of tantrums to specifically choose CS graduates or IT graduates.
Hope this helped you.
Good Luck :)
Dear,
The overview of difference in both are :
CSE: Computer science engineers are involved in many aspects of computing, from the design of individual microprocessors, personal computers and supercomputers to circuit designing and writing software that powers them.
IT: Information Technology deals with the use of electronic computers and computer software to store, protect process, transmit and securely retrieve data. IT professionals perform a variety of tasks that range from installing applications to designing complex computer networks and information databases.
The major difference between both these field is that IT deals with the application of computing technology to real life processes. While, Computer Science deals with the science that facilitates these applications. To make it short and simple, Computer Science is the creation of software and hardware by using different programming skills. On the other hand, IT is just the selection of the proper software or hardware for the task.
Lastly, It’s upto your interest.
Hope this helps!
