Similarly, there is IT (information technology) branch, which has also a great demand in private it companies. Now as for chemical engineering branch, there is huge job scopes. Basically chemical engineers are called versatile engineers. Because they can get job in many sectors and Fields. They can easily get jobs in some of the big and reputed psus like - GAIL, BHEL, ONGC, HPCL, IOCL, etc.
And along with these psu they can also get jobs in private companies like hpl, etc.
Now coming onto the electrical engineering and electronics and communication engineering branch. They have high job scopes in many companies, like NTPC, Power grid, BHEL, BEL, etc.
Also civil engineering and mechanical engineering has job scopes in both private and public sectors.
There are also many psu that recruits btech holders in ece/ee/ch/ce by their own tests like BARC, ISRO, CIL, etc.
Overall, chemical engineering, cse, ee and ece has more job scopes in india.
But if you want a good psu job, then you have to crack GATE / ESE exam or UPSC or SSC je , etc. irrespective of your Branch. And if you want private jobs then many campus recruiters are private companies and you can get to them.
