According to your query, first of all you need to get cleared that all branches have there equal importance in various regions for example in Gujarat civil branch and mechanical branches leads over other one. So you can't make assumptions on your own. But yes if you consider globally then COMPUTER ENGINEERING leads everywhere. Also ELECTRONICS engineering have great scope in India. As the present world is moving towards technology, in future, Computer Science branch will be having a lot of scope. As development in Artificial intelligence, Augmented Reality, Virtual reality, Automation are the Hof concepts, surely CSE has a lot of scope in future. Each field in engineering is important in today's world whether be it CSE,ECE,EEE, Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical,etc. But with the rapid growth of the IT Industry ,the branch in engineering most useful will be CSE and IT .

There is no definitve way of saying which engineering course will be in maximum demand say a decade or a few decades from now. Yes, there are predictions that computer science and other branches like mechantronics will be popular. But you count out traditional engineering branches like civil, mechanical and chemical as they are still doing well.

My suggestion is whatever discipline you get into, ensure that you get a good score and learn all the practical aspects. Also, ensure that you get your degree from a reputed institute, and not from any disreputed ones.
