If they're bright enough and are in search of a quick job with a decent pay, it's obviously an IT job that they must choose, and in engineering it's always CS/IT trades that are the best for this!

Am from CSE background I must say that CSE! It is the best for getting a good package and IT industries hire more employees and train them well, everyone from CSE or IT get placed in top MNC comapnies.

In CSE/IT the curriculum focuses more on technical knowledge that practical knowledge. High monthly package considering if you are from IIT's shall now be holding a fat pay checked offer letter from an IT giant, if not the case then the Focus should of the learning and later part you can remove that "L" from Learning and start earning.

Go for the job or fields which you can enjoy doing you work, as I always say IT/CS is the best place to get high packages.
