If you still want to opt for improvement exams,
Candidates appearing for CBSE Improvement Exam are issued a new marksheet, reflecting their revised marks.
You need to attach it with your previous marksheet.
Suppose you appear for improvement exams in all subjects and score 90%, and before improvement you scored 95%, then 95% will be considered
Yes CBSE updates its database.
If you appear for improvement exam as a private candidate, you will be issued a new roll number.
From the given data, your score 93.5% will be considered.
You may also appear for Open Board exams (NIOS). They offer on-demand examination.

But total percentage after improvement must be more.
That means you scored 65% initially and applied for improvement and scored 63% the initial marks are considered
So,if you score more marks in individual subjects automatically you percentage increases.

For the candidates to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12 th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.
