If a candidate is satisfied with the allotted option in the counselling process, he/she can choose the freeze option which will mean that they don’t want to participate in subsequent rounds of counselling and are satisfied with the allotted seat. So once you freeze you will not be able to participate in spot 2 counselling. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has started the IPU BTech spot round counselling process. The IPU BTech 2021 counselling spot round registration is open December 2 to 6.

Yes, you can participate in the counselling spot 2 round even if you free seat in the spot 1 or round 1 of the counselling. Everyone who fulfils the eligibility criteria is eligible for the spot round counselling and even after you freeze the seat in spot you can change or modify in the spot round if you wish to. Infact everyone is eligible for spot counseling round who have been qualified in CET. Instead of one condition that you have to leave your seat that you have freeze. If you don't wish to leave your current seat then you can't participate in spot counseling. So there is always this risk involved that incase you don't get the seat you desire in spot counseling round you will lose your allotted seat.
