You can get north eastern nit's like NIT nagaland, mizoram, arunachal pradesh etc except silchar in csab 2nd round counselling. So, go for csab counselling after the josaa counselling is over.

Another option is that you can opt for state government engineering colleges of ur state

Hello Sagar ,

In this post I will tell you how to analyze your performance.

Percentile express how best your are compare to whole crowed. So , it also depend  on how much student are giving the exam.

Now if you want to find what clg you will get ,

Just find all the matrix of last year and compare it will not deviate much .

Example - IITs take nearly 10000 student every year . So , if your General Category student you need atleast 15000 rank to apply for IITs. You will think only 10000 are the available how its 15000? It is due to the fact that many students go to NITs to get good branch. So , there will be so many such things in case of top NITs and Govt clg .

I will suggest you find highest ranks(more poor performance ) of student who got into that clg or branch. Now you just have to compare yours with this data you have collected.

Please don't make any conclusion based on percentile as its also depend on how many student gave exam. Always see your rank last year closing ranks and number of seat available.

Do share this post as much as you can. I am sure that this will clear doubt of all the student who are searching about percentile, score ,rank .

Hello Sagar,

Thanks for contacting Careers360.

According to your percentile, your rank is predicted to be somewhat between 84,288 - 91,788 as per my calculations.

With this much rank or percentile you might get admitted into some of the good NITs though you may not get the top branches.

In order to know your final result and the colleges you will get in that rank, you have to wait as of now. The National Test Agency NTA will declare the combined result of both the JEE main exam (1st which was held in January and 2nd which is going to be held in April) after the declaration of result of 2nd exam i.e. April 30. The NITs and other Government colleges will declare their respective cutoffs afterwards.

Hope this helps.

Good luck!!
