Hi
Any student who have given JEE mains exam can opt for joint seat allocation authority or joSSA counseling. If you have given the exam as a general category candidate then you must do your counseling as a general category candidate and you CLR or general rank will be considered in all the seven rounds of counseling and after that you shouldn't change your category.
Now if you are an EWS category candidate and have given JEE mains as an EWS student then while sitting for counseling fill in yourself as an EWS candidate. For EWS category you must have valid proof and certificate and in all seven rounds of counseling your EWS rank will be considered. JoSSA counseling helps the students to take admission in NITs, IIITs,IIEST shibpur and gfti . In order to apply go to their official website.
Best of luck
Hope this helps
Hello aspirant
Hope you are doing great . At the time of your result , both the ranks - category rank as well as Common rank . Therefore both your CRL and EWS category rank will be given on your scorecard.
At the time of your counselling your EWS rank will be considered if you apply under ews category in JOSSA counselling
I hope you got your answer
Wish you all the very best!
Dear student,
For JoSAA Counselling, your category rank will be considered first for seat allotment.
The number of seats for a particular category in any branch in an institution are limited so according to the choices filled by you in the choice filling process, if a particular seat from top preferences is available, then you will be allotted that seat. If seat is not available then your respective next choice will be checked for availability.
Hope this helps !
