You have  chance to get engineering seat in NITs, IIITs or GFTIs. But yeah, you have to participate in the CSAB special round 2019 to get the best seat with your crl rank. But no one can pridict the closing ranks. So, once you can check the previous year closing ranks for all NITs and IIITs and fill your choices in the special round counciling of CSAB 2019 then you can get the seat definitely. If this is your category rank ; than it will be difficult to get any good college through csab counseling .

Because as you now that there are only few seats remaining after 7 th round and every one wants to get into the top colleges and many want to upgrade their branch .

And it is not wise decision to go in any random college or low ranking nits with non core branch.

Instead of it choose state college or private colleges in which you will get core branch easily .

Congratulations for cracking the JEE main examination.

You mentioned that you have got a rank of 40,000. You have an advantage of OBC category. If you participate in CSAB special round then you can definitely get a civil engineering or Biotechnology seat in a New National institute of technology or in a well known Government Funded Technical Institutions.
