In josaa counseling in round 1 I got ece in IIIT ranchi..and yesterday I saw hbtu round1 result..I got electronics engineering.what to take.

First of all if you are unwilling to go out of Kanpur for higher studies then either you should have not participated in JOSAA counselling or should have scored enough to get admission in IIT Kanpur.
I mean if you have already made up your mind then there is no point in telling you merits and demerits of some college but HBTU is way better than IIIT Ranchi which runs from temporary campus in NIT Jamshedpur. But consider some NIT if you get it as most NITs are better than HBTU.
