Private medical colleges comes under the regulation of State medical counselling authority of the respective state. MCC does not conduct counselling for private colleges ,they cover the 15% AIQ seats in government colleges and the deemed universities only. The rest 85% is the responsibility of Karnataka state MBBS admission authority which is KEA. And regarding the rank considered for state counselling your state rank or category rank will be considered. This state rank is decided based on the All India Rank and it will always be higher .
