GUJCET is the entrance exam conducted by Gujrat Secondary and Higher Education Board for BE / B.Tech admissions in around 112 universities that participate in it.



To get admission in LDCE for mechanical engineering you will have to have a GUJCET cutoff based on the caste. There are reservations for special categories as it is in most exams. Under every category, there are certain percentage of seats served for the candidates who if eligible will be offered these seats.

• SC: 7%
• ST: 15%
• Orphan/SEBC: 27%
• PwD: 3%

The following is the 2018 cut off list to get admission into ME in LD Patel College:

• General: OR - 35, CR - 1571.
• SC: OR - 3428, CR - 6665.
• ST: OR - 2144, CR - 19387.
• SEBC: OR - 1648, CR - 3223.
• ESM: OR - 7440, CR - 7440.

The cutoff'19 may increase or decrease based on various factors such as:

• The number of candidates attending,
• The difficulty of the exam,
• The number of seats available
• Past year trends
• The number of candidates applying

In 2018,

• 1,36,498 students registered for the exam, and 1,34,979 appeared for the exam for physics and chemistry.
• Out of 74,048 students, 73,171 took the test for biology.
• Out of 62761 candidates, 61981 took the test for mathematics.
• Almost 350 candidates attempted all the exams.
• Out of 62761 registered candidates, 61981 took the exam for admission to engineering courses.

In 2018, the candidates found the overall exam easy and not lengthy. The number of applicants attended/applied is supplied above.
