In my 10 /12 marks are 6.6cg/48prcnt .graduation 6.2cgnon engineer will I be shortlisted for any new or old IIM through getting 98+ in cat
Old - Zero chance.
New - Average chance.
Instead of posting questions, start preparing.
I am afraid to tell you that old iims have a very tough process of shortlisting the candidates.
Most of the IIMs give maximum weightage to Personal Interview and CAT score for admissions. However, factors like academic cut-offs, past academic performance, relevant work experience, gender diversity etc. also play a major role in the final selection.
Iim Ahmedabad focuses more on the overall profile of the candidate, which includes the marks of your 10th 12th and graduation grades.
Iim Bangalore follows the following scheme for its selection
PI 30%
CAT score 25%
WAT 10%
Bachelors Degree 10%
Work Experience 10%
10thMarks 10%
12thMarks 5%
Iim. Lakhnow first shortlists the candidates based on their cat scores, and then shortlist them for pi.
See, the cutoff of all these new iims is quite high.
Even the person scoring 99 percentile with an average academic performance might sometimes not get a call from iims.
But don't loose hopes. There are many colleges that doesn't see your past academics record
Like FMS Delhi
And IIFT Delhi(seperate exam not cat)
Prestige College bangalore
Xavier college(seperate exam)
And many new iims.
Just think positive, work hard and you will land in a very good management college.
