Hello Farhan,

If your father's name is different from the marksheets of class 10th and 12th then there is need to worry but that's the case where either the name is mis-spelt or the name is completely wrong but in your case if the Mohd. is missing from your father's name on AADHAR card then there is no need to worry and you have to mention the name of your father as mentioned on the AADHAR card in application forms of different competitive examinations and even in application form of JEE-Main it is clearly mentioned in the column of father's name that no prefix should be used before the name of either father or mother or even yours.

On December 16th 2020 the application process for JEE-Main 2021 February attempt has been started by National Testing Agency (NTA) which is the conducting authority for JEE-Main 2021. You can apply for JEE-Main from the official portal of JEE-Main which is given below :-

https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/webinfo2021/Page/Page?PageId=1&LangId=P

Note that this application process will continues till January 16th 2021 and last date for payment of application fee is January 17th 2021 after which neither application nor application fee will be accepted and then after the correction window will be opened for the applicants from January 19th to January 21st 2021. Admit cards will be available for download from second week of February 2021 and the examination will be conducted from February 23rd to February 26th 2021 in two shifts per day, for February attempt.

A candidate will also have option to apply for one Session or more than one Session (February/ March /April /May 2021) together and pay exam fee accordingly. In other words, if a candidate wishes to apply only for one Session, he / she has to pay Examination Fee only for that Session during the current application period and will have opportunity to apply again for the March/ April / May Sessions.

Farhan Khan Yes you are write, in JEE-Main 2021 Application form it is written that you have to use the name same as on the class 12th marks but on the other hand it is also written that you should not use any prefixes so you have to write your father's name as Ahbab Khan.

There may not be any problem regarding this. But you have enough options to rectify it. As your marksheet have the name with Mohd you can rectify your fathers name by changing them on Aadhar as well as voter id. This will be done within 6 months.

You can apply for rectification also online. There are also ample video regarding name rectify process online on youtube .

I hope my answer helps you. All the very best for your future endeavors!
