Making spelling mistakes of names specially, in your registration/admit card is a major problem. This is because it might be different in the identification proofs such as Pan card/ voter card.

Now, since you have received your scorecard with the same spelling, there is only one solution newspaper article.

In cases where people change there name or want to declare someone's name they use this technique. By this you can make a publish that the name with wrong spelling and the correct both are same.

But, it sometimes happens that in adhar cards we do have wrong spelling.

So , generally it won't affect your counselling since at that time they will ask for documents not your parents'. Your scorecard and admit card both have same spelling so no problem should persist.

With reference to your query,  I would glad inform you that though their is no need to worry in your case because mainly fathers and students names matters but to be on safe side carry original identity proof of mother with an aplogy letter for your mistake with your mother sign so that they can accept but this 2 percent case only most probably thier is no need to worry
