Hi rashmi,
Marks that are needed to qualify are quite low like around 130-150/720.
But qualifying doesn't mean that you have secured a government medical seat.
For that you have to score at least 550+.
All the best.
The cutoff for qualifying neet in general catagory was 50 percentile which cooresponds to a mark of 137. Please note that this is only the qualifying marks cutoff is higher approx 540.
In 2018 i expect a marginal change in the cutoff though.
Well you can't really know what score is enough to get a seat because of the changing level of difficulty of exam everyday.
The syllabus remains pretty much the same every year but the level is different.
The performance of all the students determines the cutoff.
So the best is to simply work hard and score as much as possible.
Based on last year's statistics i.e. NEET UG 2017, the qualifying score was 131 marks out 720 i.e. 50% percentile. However, you can't just qualify to secure a seat. You need to secure a score of 600+ to obtain a seat under General Quota through All India Counselling. All the very best for your Preparations!
All the best.
The Unreserved category candidates will be required to obtain marks equal to or more than the 50thpercentile in order to qualify NEET.
