Hi
It must be creamy layer!. OBC creamy layer are considered general category candidates and are not eligible for any kind of reservations in any government endeavor.
Only if you belong to Non-Creamy Layer OBC , you are entitled to the reservation in jobs as well as in educational institutions.
If you come under the Creamy Layer of OBC , you can't avail any benefits of OBC reservation.
On which category you fall depends on your family's income.
Central Government maintains a list of castes or communities which are granted OBC status. Check the Central List of OBCs (http://www.ncbc.nic.in/User_Panel/CentralListStateView.aspx) – based on your state. If your caste or community is included in the list, you can apply for OBC quota – but you have to meet the Non-Creamy Layer criteria as well.
As the benefits are not available for creamy layer.
In order to considered as an OBC non-creamy layer candidate, the candidates parents’ annual income should be less than Rs. 8 lakhs.
Choose the category accordingly, choose OBC NCL only if you fall under that category and have a valid caste certificate signed by an authorized official.
