In NIT TRICHY around 40k rank were taken inHS but only 4k rank were taken in OS...... Is it possible

Dear aspirant,
Yes it is possible because there is a 50 percent quota for home state students and 50 percent seats for all other states students so definitely the cutoff rank will be higher for home state students but for the nit allahabad and jaipur the case is reverse due to high population of aspirant there.
