In NIT what is the difference between Physical(5 year, integrated master of science) and engineering phy.
NITs and IITs are always a better place irrespective of branches as compared to other colleges. You can opt for it if you are really interested in physics. You will get good exposure for higher studies(in abroad). The faculties here are very helpful and their recommendation always has the upper hand as compared to others. As far as studies are concern (NET,GATE), some topics you have to cover of your own as teaching standard of some of the faculties are not upto the mark.
If you are not interested in higher studies , then also you have a second option. In our batch, some of my friends are placed in:
TCS
Mu sigma
Aakash Institute
Apart from these, other companies like iBooks, affine analytics, future first etc. allow Integrated students.
As per as the current curriculum, last year of Integrated students includes only research project. This is helpful for the students who are interested in higher studies as well as the students who are interested in Placements as they will get time for preparation.
Best of luck for your future!!
