in nso exam conducted on 21 st november, my daughter’s correct ans comes to 43. achievers section she gets full marks and m2 - 27 ans are correct but m1 she scores only 4. what will be her chance for 2 nd level
Ma'am, whether your child will qualify for the next round or not depends on various factors like her class, difficulty level of question paper and her relative performance w.r.t. other students of her class (school, zone as well as national level). We cannot predict it on the basis of last year cutoffs.
According to the official notice by SOF, students fulfilling either of the following 3 criteria will qualify for 2nd level Olympiads exams:
- Top 5% of students, class wise who appear for the 1st level exam. Due priority to marks scored in different sections will be given, in the decreasing order of Achiever's Section, Science and Mental Ability for NSO.
- Zone wise top 25 rank holders from each class.
- Class topper from each participating school where at least 10 students from a class appear in the exam & scores 50% qualifying marks.
All the best for the results.
