Don't Miss: JEE Seat Matrix
Dear Aspirant,
According to the mock test available at JEE Advanced 2019 Official website, the instructions clearly mention reporting the answer truncated to two decimal places. They have also shown many examples and it mentions reporting integers like 5.00 or 7.00.
This was a big confusion during JEE Advanced 2018, and IIT Kanpur clarified the issue by awarding marks to all who had answered correctly irrespective whether the answer reported was 5 or 5.00.
I think this time they will not consider such a thing. Till this time there has been no new notification regarding any type of clarification regarding how marking of answers would be carried out.
Solving the JEE Advanced paper's will help to know the exam difficult level and identify the high weightage topics.
Hi Venkat, your query is genuine. This doubt was prevalent last year also when I was appearing for the paper. After that, JEE committee released a notice which clearly said that if your answer is 4, then both '4' and '4.00' will be regarded as correct. So, that is the answer for your question. But, to be sure about all these kinds of doubt, you should go through the official website of JEE Advanced for 2019 and look for notices every now and then. Also, make sure to go through last year's notices to be clear as the pattern is going to be sae this year.
Thanks for asking.
Hi B venkal Ramesh ! You know it totally depends on question. If in the question it is stated that write the answer upto two decimal points, then you must write 5.00 but if it is not stated anything you may write 5 or 5.00. But at that time it is better to write 5. Hope you understand.
