In science stream can we take sanskrit as optional

Yes, you can take sanskrit as optional.

  • KANNADA
  • MARATHI
  • TAMIL
  • TELUGU
  • MALAYALAM
  • ETC.

are languages or elective subjects.

As English is already there it is also a compulsory subject.

That doesn't mean you should just concentrate on PCMB, and leave out the languages .They are also as important as other major subjects.

Yes yes brother. But at the same time, do check once if the colleges provides Sanskrit course. My college VG VAZE KELKAR college, Mulund, Maharashtra had Sanskrit French all these languages. So yes, if the college provides a partiocular language, you can surely pursue that as your 6th subject being in the science stream as well.
