In the final merit list do the ranks go up or down than the tentative merit list?

In most cases The cutoff of every College or university goes down. As the highest scoring candidate gets in first rule is in every educational institutes So you could expect dip in the cutoff and the final merit list ranks or marks should be lowered in the next round.

Hello Aspirant, In the final merit list mostly the rank goes down. This is even rarely seen that rank goes up. If your rank is about 10,000 then about 500 rank goes down. But if your rank is under 1000 to 2000 then you will not seen much variance.

Dear student, tentative list are just for informative purposes, they are not true and exact. The final list when released may deviate from that and mostly changes a bit. It s because tentative list is prepared on incomplete information, or on the basis of till date information.
