Correct Answer: c

Solution : There is an error in the part "c" therefore the option 3 is correct.

Replace ‘themselves’ by ‘himself’.

Beacause the main subject is ‘The manager’ is a singular noun.

According to sub-verb agreement rule, nouns/pronouns, connected with ‘with’, ‘along-with’, ‘together with’ ‘as well as’, ‘like’, ‘unlike’, ‘besides’ etc. take the verb after them according to the first noun.

Therefore the correct statement is

The manager as well as the subordinates absented himself from the office.
