Though 7 new government medical colleges opened in UP ,but last last year more than 2000 seats were removed as few colleges were barred from giving admission to MBBS by MCI .

Therefore, the addition of new colleges might not help in lowering the cut off to much extent.

Further this year the cut off is expected to rise by at least 15-30 marks due to increase in number of students qualifying the exam .

As per the data of previous year the cut off for Government Medical College in UP through state quota was -
