Correct Answer: 2 : 1
Solution : Let the cost price (CP) of sugar A be Rs. 30 and sugar B be Rs. 45. Let the CP of the mixture be Rs. $x$. Now, $\frac{120x}{100}$ = 42 $\therefore x$ = 35 Using the concept of alligation we have, Required ratio = (Higher value – Mean value) : (Mean value – Lower value) = (45 – 35) : (35 – 30) = 10 : 5 = 2 : 1 Hence, the correct answer is 2 : 1.
