This the overall pattern for the exam,

Bengal Public Service Commission will conduct the following exams. to select Supervisors (Direct) through competitive examination - 1. Preliminary Exam. - (100 Marks) 2. Mains Exam. - (400 Marks) 3. Viva Voce Test - (50 Marks) Prelims Test will be qualifying in nature of appearing in the mains exam. Marks of preliminary exam. will not be counted for final merit list preparation. Candidates qualified in the mains exam. will be called for interview/personality test. Final Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Mains Exam. & Interview.

ALL THE QUESTIONS WILL BE EITHER IN BENGALI OR ENGLISH.

As per your query, the language of exam will be either english or bengali you have two options. And further in the syllabus wise you might be asked to translate from bengali, urdu, nepali, santali to english.
