Fundamental duties were not the part of original constitution. On the recommendations of Swaran Singh committee, fundamental duties were added in Part IV A of Indian constitution. They were added to the constitution by 42nd Amendment Act 1976. These are 11 moral and civic duties which are mentioned in Article 51 A and they are non-justiciable in nature.
