Hi!!!
Hope you are doing well.
Food sciences teacher teaches in College level standard.
Food Science is a multi-disciplinary field involving chemistry, biochemistry, nutrition, microbiology and engineering.
Hope you are clear now. Feel free to ask if you have any other queries. All The Best!!!
If you want to be a teacher in School level then you need to have a BEd degree or a Masters Degree. Now, if you want to go for primary school then you will be able to teach the Lifescience and Biology subjects of 3 or 4 th standard. But at most school, if you are a Food science graduate then it would be wiser to go for the High school as many teachers are required to teach the Nutrition and related subjects to 10-12 students.
Now the eligibility may differ from the school to school. So before applying check the eligibility.
Now if you can acquire higher qualification then you can also become professors and Assitant professors in colleges and universities. For that you will need a PhD/MSc degree with NET cleared.
