Hello,
It is usually taught in the Engineering Drawing course. It is, to the best of knowledge, taught in the first year nowadays
Most universities teach the basics of AutoCad in the first year, which include selecting a sheet, modifying the sheet and its format, creating 2-D diagrams using basic instructions such as circle, rectangle, fillet, chamfer, trim, and some basic 3-D modelling commands. The instructions are simple, yet they are quite useful for CAD modelling.

It totally depends on your university you joined but in general, btech civil engineering course students get to learn AutoCAD in second year.
