Hi, so you are planning on applying for BCA+ MCA. Let me tell you, its a great course and open doors for a lot of opportunities. There is not a huge difference in syllabus of BTech and BCA + MCA. And after MCA you could be slightly higher than BTech since you've done masters.
Coming on to salary, let me tell you the truth, salary of a software engineer isn't based on what course he has done but on what skills he have.
You can be a BCA student or a BTech student but without good programming skills or whatever software field you choose, if you are not good in it, you can't expect good package.
You could be a BTech student with not so great skills and BCA student with amazing skills, there is a higher chance you could achieve your dream package being a BCA student.
A company need a working professional with good skills, who understands things. What would they do of a person with higher degree who doesn't understand things.
Just think it like this, what ever course you choose, focus on building your skills. If you want to be a software developer, just practice your programming skills, learn data structures and algorithms.
Big FANG companies such as Facebook Amazon Netflix Google etc doesn't even require a degree, they don't ask for your degree, they expect you to be skillful, just pass their hiring process and you will be working in these companies with more than 14-16 LPA.
Hope this is helpful.
