Indira Medical College and Hospital, Thiruvallur is a private owned college which was established in 2020.

For admission to MBBS course, admission is granted to students on the basis of NEET exam and has a total of 150 seats. The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai, offers a 5.5-year (includes 4.5 years of curriculum and 1 year of rotating internship) Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme that has been approved by the NMC.

Eligibility Criteria:-

• Candidates who have passed or are scheduled to sit for a class 12th or equivalent test with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects from a recognised board are eligible to apply.
• By the end of the school year, candidates must be 17 years old.
• In NEET, there is no upper age limit. However, the Supreme Court's instructions must be followed.
• In NEET, there are no limits on how many times you may take the test.
• Indian nationals, non-resident Indians, Indian citizens living abroad, Indian-origin individuals, and foreign nationals are all eligible to apply.
• The standards established by the Tamil Nadu government shall be carefully observed when it comes to the reservation policy in allocating students to the college.

Facilities:-

• Library-Students can use the library to access audio-visual information.In practically every aspect, including acquisition, cataloguing, circulation, serials control, article indexing & abstracting OPAC, and union catalogue, an integrated library system (LIBSYS) software is employed.Using the most up-to-date technology, all library activities are computerised.To use the computerised library, students and employees are given bar-coded identification cards.
• Cafetaria-The cafeteria follows all safety regulations, which are double-checked by management, and offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian alternatives. The cafeteria receives filtered water from our water treatment facility. A supervisory committee for the Canteen has been formed to oversee all activities.
• Medical-For students, the college provides a health centre with first-aid facilities.
• Classrooms-All students have access to the college's classrooms.
• Transport- The institution has a fleet of Omni-buses that run between the city's several important areas. The buses are available to both instructors and students for a fee. These buses are free for anyone arriving from Thiruvallur station. To ensure the safety of students, the institution has trained technicians maintain the buses on a regular basis. The air-conditioned carriages are available to senior faculty members.
• Laboratories-Students have access to departmental laboratories at the college.
