The admission to veltech happens through two processes i.e by the entrance exam or direct admission process. The entrance exam is called VTUEEE . Candidates can register Online or Offline and exam centres are distributed all around the country. Direct admission to the college happens through locking the seat through fee payment. The candidate will have to fill the details and choose the course.

VelTech has over 86 research labs where students can do their research and course work. The college funds some of the projects and promotes research among the students overall.
