The path to a career in investment banking is rather regimented. Aspiring investment bankers start studying finance in college. After that, most of them look for entry-level jobs before pursuing a master's degree. As they work as investment bankers, they also get the licenses they need to operate.
Students can take undergraduate-level investment banking courses if they have 50% in their 10+2 exam and, ideally, have a background in commerce from an accredited board. A candidate can enroll in postgraduate investment banking courses if they have a 50% merit score in their BBA or BCom.
