Hi

Your UPSC civil services examination consists of three stages:-

1. Prelims

2. Mains

3.Interview

UPSC PRELIMS :-

Your prelims exam consist of 2 papers : -

-) general studies  1 :   - You have History, Indian Polity, Geography, Environment, Current Affairs, Science and technology, etc.

-) general studies II ( csat ) :-    You have :-Reasoning, Maths, English, Hindi, etc.

MAINS :-

It is descriptive /written examination . There are a total of 9 papers which are listed below:-

Paper 1 :- Essay

Paper 2 :- GS-I :- You have

  • *History and geography of the world and society

Paper 3 :- GS-II   :- it includes

  • * Governance,

  • *Polity

  • *Constitution,

  • *Social Justice and International Relations.

Paper 4 :- GS-III :- it includes

  • *Technology,

  • *Economic Development,

  • *Security and Disaster Management

  • *Bio-Diversity,

  • *Environment,


Paper 5   :- GS-IV :- it has

  • * Ethics

  • *Integrity

  • *Aptitude

Paper 6 : - optional I paper

Paper 7 :- optional II paper

Out of the 9 papers, the remaining two papers are:-

Language paper A :-  compulsory indian language

Language paper B :- English
