NID Eligibility For Bachelor Of Design
Following criteria must compulsorily be fulfilled by all the candidates applying for this course:
Age Limit
The upper age limit for the candidates under this course is 20 years on or beforeJuly 30, 2019. The reserved category candidates can avail an age relaxation of 3 years in the given upper age limit.
For General Category, the candidates bornon or before July 1, 1999would beineligible.
For Reserved Category (OBC-NCL, SC, ST a7 PH), the candidates bornon or before July 1, 1994would beineligible.
Educational Qualification
Candidates appearing or who have already passed the qualifying examinations under the Higher Secondary (10+2) from AISSCE/IB/ICSE or any recognised Board during academic year 2015-2016 shall be eligible for applying for the Academic Year 2018-18.
Examinations that are considered equivalent to Class 12 are as given under:
Central or State Board recognised by the Association of Indian Universities conducts a final examination of the 10+2 system www.aiuweb.org.
Board or University recognised by the Association of Indian Universities conducts Intermediate or 2 year Pre-University examination.
The Final year examination of the 2 year course at the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy (NDA).
National Institute of Open Schooling conducts Senior Secondary School Examination with at least 5 subjects.
An examination conducted by any Public School, Board or University in India or in a foreign country, that is recognised as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the AIU.
H.S.C. Vocational Examination.
The Advanced (A) Level of the General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London, Cambridge or Sri Lanka)
Cambridge University conducts High School Certificate Examination or International Baccalaureate Diploma at the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
Candidates, who have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from outside India or from a Board or University that is not specified in the above list, must compulsorily submit a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities in this regard.
