Going by last year's cutoffs, it is expected that the cutoff for NTSE stage 1 Jharkhand will be around 130 to 145 for general category and 115 to 125 for SC category candidates and 87 to 98 for ST Candidates. But these are expected cutoffs of Jharkhand NTSE stage 1 where the qualifying Marks in MAT is at least 40 and same for SAT also for general category. The qualifying score for SC/ST/PwD candidates are 32 Marks in each of the two sections I.e. MAT and SAT. Now 148 out of 200 is pretty good score and greater than the expected cutoff too. It is very difficult to predict whether you will be able to qualify NTSE stage 1 examination or not as qualifying cut off marks or not as cut off marks depends upon a number of factors like

*  number of students that appeared in the ntse exam,

*kind of marks obtained by them in ntse examination,

*toughness level of the ntse examination and several other factors.

The ntse jharkhand stage 1 expected  cut off to be eligible for NTSE stage 2 is given below category wise:-

* general :- 130-145 marks

* Scheduled Caste :- 115-125

*Scheduled Tribe :- 87- 98

So , being from general category with 148 marks  you hold chance to qualify NTSE stage 1
