No.. it is not compulsory to score 75% in class 12 to attempt jee main 2019 examination,even just pass students can also have chance to write the jee exam,but elligibilty criteria is required during admission to get into good nit and iit colleges.

National testing agency has declared the eligibility criteria of JEE main 2019.candidates interested need to check complete JEE main 2019 eligibility criteria and only if they fulfil it,must proceed to fill the application form of the entrance exam otherwise,it will be rejected.JEE eligibility criteria 2019 contain parameters like age , educational qualification, subjects in 10+2 etc.
Yeah for opting the NIT , IIITs and GFTIs I mean for admission the 75% is complusorly for the those colleges
But for applying the JEE mains it's not at all problem

If you pass the class 12 it is enough to write the JEE main exam. It is not necessary to score 75% in class 12.

The following eligibility will be considered during admission, not during appearing in the exam or filling the application form.
For admissions to NITs/ IIITs/ GFTIs :-
Candidates need to have secured a minimum 75% marks in class XII or equivalent exam or be in the top 20 percentile in their class XII exam conducted by the respective board.
For SC/ ST candidates, the eligibility criteria are to secure 65% marks in class XII or equivalent exam.
For admissions to B.Arch. programmes:
Candidates need to have PCM mandatorily in their 10+2 or equivalent exam.
They need to have secured minimum 50% marks in these subjects in aggregate and 50% individually too.
